Scott DeTurk has co-written music and lyrics to the musicals: DORIAN, THE GHOST & MRS. MUIR, INSANITY, THE RIGHT STEP, PIANO PLAYER , I M STRESSIN OUT and WESTERN STAR (currently in publication with Music Theater International). He has also written music and lyrics to six musicals published by Pioneer Drama Services. He has numerous television and industrial film credits, has received the Bay Area s Elly award as a composer/lyricist and Arty award for musical direction and several award nominations for sound design in Los Angeles and San Francisico. He has a degree in music composition from the University of Northern Colorado, studied film scoring and orchestration from Don Ray (former head of TV music at CBS) and musical theatre from the late, well known Broadway author, composer and conductor Lehman Engel. Scott has also worked extensively across the country as a musical director, arranger and accompanist.
