The Main Street Kids' Club: A MathStart Musical (hereafter referred to as The Main Street Kids Club) is a musical adaptation of the award-winning visual learning book series, MathStart by Stuart J. Murphy. Murphy's 63-book series involves teaching math through the context of stories. Bookwriter and lyricist, Scott Ferguson (most well-known for adapting the "edutainment" piece, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, to the stage), took a handful of Murphy's books to combine into one plot. The books featured include: Treasure Map, Lemonade for Sale, Less than Zero, 100 Days of Cool, Captain Invincible and the Space Shapes and More or Less.

Scott Ferguson workshopped The Main Street Kids Club with a class at Northwestern University, his alma mater. A national tour of the musical is currently running through TheatreBAM Chicago, a Chicago-based not-for-profit theatre company (of which Ferguson is also the co-founder and current Artistic Director). It is also being licensed for performances in community theatres and schools across America, including Playhouse on Park in Connecticut and Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Florida.
