Our musical is in april, and if they will be available in the next couple of months, I will hold off on announcing our full season. Any info you could provide would be helpful. Thank you!

About Concert Style Musical

Dear Music Theatre International Staff,

My Name is Kosei Maeda, and I am an artisctic director of orchestra in Japan.

I'm thinking now that we will hold a concert which forcuses on Musical especially, Westside Story or Les Misérables now, and I have some questions about performace and licence.

First of all, I would be delighted if you answered whether we can hold a concert style musical ( which means we use only music and song, nothing else) or not.

Secondly, if we can, tell me how we should do, and tell me the process to use music and music scores please.

Finaly, tell me how much is the total cost, please.

I'm so sorry for poor English, if you can answered as soon as possible, I would be happy.

Yours sincerely,

Kosei Maeda

Orchestrations

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two orchestrations(I know it has more strings and different reeds)? I am trying to decide which is the better sounding, and see if there is a recording with the different versions.

Any suggestions for the short term hospital (Gurney style) bed in the opening sequence of "Matilda the Musical?"

We are at our wits end.  We have a more modern gurney reserved for the show from the local EMTs, but it is very modern looking and heavy.  We have asked at our local theaters we normally borrow or rent props from - but to no avail.  Any suggestions how to make one or borrow/rent?

Seussical Jr. Songs on Choreography DVD

My organization is considering producing Seussical Jr. in our upcoming season. The choreography DVD has been a valuable resource in the past. Can you tell me which songs from Seussical Jr. are featured on the choreography DVD? Thanks in advance!

rehearsal track key differences from score

We have noted two places where the key of the rehearsal tracks varies from the score.

1) At the beginning of Knowing Me, Knowing You the introductory measures are recorded one fifth lower (in D) than written and than the rest of the song (in A).

2) The song The Winner Takes it All is written in F and recorded in F#.

My question is: will these same variances be present on the performance tracks? And if so, are there any other variances between the rehearsal tracks and the performance tracks? Thank you.
