The titular Hans Christian Andersen, is a dynamic storyteller who receives the opportunity of a lifetime: a spot in the Royal Academy. Though Christian’s talent is remarkable, he struggles to fit in at the Academy and misses home. He is sweet and slightly awkward but finds a friend in fellow misfit Princess Caroline.
