Kait Kerrigan

Kait Kerrigan is an award-winning lyricist, bookwriter, and playwright. Off-Broadway: THE MAD ONES (fka The Unauthorized Biography of Samantha Brown), Henry and Mudge, both written with composer Mx. Brian Lowdermilk. Other musicals with Lowdermilk include Earthrise (lyrics, book by Lauren Gunderson), world premiere at the Kennedy Center, 2019; Rosie Revere, Engineer & Friends (lyrics, book by Lauren Gunderson), commissioned by TheatreworksUSA; a ground-breaking immersive house party musical The Bad Years (book and lyrics) last staged in a Bushwick warehouse; Republic (book and lyrics) developed by Hunter Arnold, directed by Michael Arden; and Kill The Boy Band (lyrics, book by Jiehae Park), directed by Warren Carlyle. Other musicals included Irena (book and lyrics) with composer Megan Cavallari, and The Other Kind (book) with singer/songwriter Rachael Cantu.

Kerrigan's plays include Father/Daughter (World Premiere - Aurora Theatre 2022) , Disaster Relief, Imaginary Love (World Premiere - Hapgood Theatre), and Transit (Chautauqua Theatre Company's New Works). Her plays and musicals have been developed by Goodspeed, La Jolla, Aurora, Theatreworks/Silicone Valley, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Lark Play Development, Primary Stages, Weston Playhouse, and others.
